An employee of the SSMU Dental Clinic completed an internship in Spain.
Head of the Dental Department No. 2 of the Dentistry Clinic of the SSMU University Clinical Hospital No. 1, assistant of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry Anush Komotskaya completed the international course "Pascal Magne Biennale" in Barcelona, the founder of biomimetics in dentistry.
The event is held every two years and gathers about 600 participants from all over the world. The two-day course was dedicated to the principles of biomimetics in restorative dentistry. The basics of working with vital and devital teeth during the manufacture of veneers and occlusal linings were considered.
A new approach in this area contributes to the optimization of dental care, bringing it to a higher level using advanced techniques that allow for the preservation of a greater number of vital teeth. This knowledge will also make it possible to teach innovative methods to students, residents and doctors undergoing advanced training at the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry.
