Winning a powerlifting competition

The associate professor of SSMU became the champion of the All-Russian powerlifting tournament.
The All-Russian tournament "Silver Rod - 18" was held in Saratov. More than two hundred athletes from eight regions of Russia took part in the competition.: Moscow, the Republic of North Ossetia –Alania, as well as several regions of the Volga region. The participants competed for awards in various strength disciplines such as powerlifting, powerlifting, bench press and others.
A striking achievement of the tournament was the victory of Valentina Solovyova, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Educational Technologies and Professional Communication at the Institute of Public Health, Public Health and Humanitarian Problems of Medicine. In the AWPC "Powerlifting without equipment" discipline in the weight category up to 60 kg, she won a gold medal with a score of 207.5 kg and fulfilled the standard of the third sports category in powerlifting.
Vadim Fedyukov, an associate professor of the same department, who is a multiple champion and prize–winner of reputable powerlifting competitions, was involved in the training of the athlete.
